Juror #2 4K Stream On Amazon Prime
The Movie
This is a clumsy film.
Juror #2 is a movie that is directed by Clint Eastwood. This should mean it has something special as he makes interesting storylines into captivating yet sometimes reality movies which is complicated. This movie is neither. This movie has nothing that makes you go “Wow!”
The Characters
The characters are alright and try to build in to interesting personalities but each scene is either to short or too long. It adds a section to the characters that they look slow and out of touch with what is taking place. The cast could have been chosen differently to build a different character structure but the cast have these lack luster moments which add a question of why that part was put in instead of adding a psychology angle to the film.
The Script
The script is OK. It’s not a ‘12 Angry Men’ but a copy of multiple different movies put into one and then an attempt to cover them up by strange filler areas.
The Production
The production of the film seems like they used people just new in the industry using old tech set ups as the cameras are set soft and it looks like the cameras at times had trouble picking up definition especially in the areas of the jail and indoor sections. Also in the rain systems they used in the film you can see they drove from the outside of the sprinkler to the middle and out again which is a bit amateurish
Video & Sound
The Video
The video is flat and does not have great depth of field and at times feels like TV Show vision which is smoothed out. This is a movie with lots of old buildings and cars and wooden furniture so the cameras should have picked up more and felt deeper but yet they went for brighter and flatter. A bit more dark would have added to this film but it still would have not made it amazing.
The video on the bluray disc may actually be better and combat some of these issues that I have seen on the 4k UHD Stream.
The Sound
The audio is nice and clean and well presented. The voice is sharp and easy to hear and all sound effects are in the correct area but there is nothing special to this mix. It is adequate and at times I would like a bit more depth in the voice to feel more organic.

Would I Want To Own This Film
As a Clint Eastwood movie goes this is one of his worst. ‘Cry Macho’ which was his last film before this had something interesting and was a good film but this movie did not. Is it his age, I do not know but he is a creative and this was not creative and you do not lose certain skills. I wanted something from this but it fell far short.
